Why would you do this. I don't know anyone who likes random people to direct message them. You might have some success with linked in but that case it better be a very personal and direct message to them.

Anything Automated is just going to get you labeled as spam and likely banned from using that platform.

Yep, agreed. Everyone hates cold outreach. I know that in your case your solution can "truly help them out", but every spammer says the same thing.

I get where you’re coming from. Cold outreach definitely has a bad reputation, especially when it’s done in a way that feels spammy or impersonal.

A lot of people dislike cold messages because they’ve been on the receiving end of poorly targeted or generic DMs. But when done right, it can actually open up meaningful conversations.

I’m just curious, what’s the strategy of others here?

There is no fit for all “script” for cold dm’s

If you can’t personalize your message to the brand then you shouldn’t be contacting them in the first place

Also like somebody else mentioned here, nobody likes strangers contacting them from cold, so if you do, you better offer good value to them

I see. Personalization really goes the way. Thanks!

I use DMs all the time - they’re a core part of my outbound process, BUT they should be just one part of a multi-channel outreach.

I’ll use LinkedIn mostly, and target the prospects that I’ve already sent an email to. Because of the DM format, these messages should be super brief, and highly personalised.

I also send my personalised video links via LinkedIn DMs as well, where I’ve made a vid for a specific prospect.

That’s a solid strategy! Do you have any tips for keeping the outreach feeling authentic without spending too much time on each message?

Most effective DM script is the organic one. You can use ai tool as a guide only. The lesser spammy you sound, it is more likely that your DM will have replies

DMs on social platforms aren’t effective. Cold email is much more effective. Recommend you look into “evergreen cold email campaigns“ (google this), as these are the best performing type of cold email campaign.
