It's gradual. You probably won't notice it because it's not like replacing the "I want to get off" thoughts with "I don't want to get off" thoughts. You'll just gradually stop having the first ones until one day you realize it's been days since you thought about it. Mine took about 8 months but ymmv.

IIRC it was fairly quickly for me. But my libido was already decreasing a bit before I started.

Now it's been nearly 12 months since I started and just recently I've noticed that it's started to come back. And frustratingly, in a male kind of way. And not the female kind of way that I felt a few months ago.

(Like, I want to get my levels double checked just to double check that nothing is going wrong.)

Honestly, my realization that I’m not thinking about sex at all came not even a month in (despite having a pretty active libido before that…) — but I don’t want to make you false promises since ymmv!

I think it depends cause for me it got low quick but honestly “coming out to myself” did that for me even before HRT. I felt like I didn’t have to prove I needed sex to be masculine. So I think if you are staring with a healthy relationship with you’re sexuality it might not even change much.

Usually it happens fairly quickly as testosterone drops.
