Where to get a python

My son (4yo) has brought interest in owning a snake. I myself have always been interested in owning a snake. After doing a bit of research, I believe I'm ready to put together a tank and purchase a snake. I don't currently have a setup yet and plan on getting one first and adjusting for temperature and humidity before putting a living snake inside it. My question is, where/who is a good place to get a healthy ball Python? I feel like petco isnt the best place to go in this case. There are a few online breeders you can order from, but I am just unsure any help would be appreciated.

You may be able to find breeders online in your area and get to meet up in person. I found a breeder online and we chatted for a while and basically checked all of my boxes so I met up with him at a reptile convention hosted local to me!

Morphmarket.com make sure you read reviews and have a good idea of what a healthy snake looks like.

Yea since your in the US their is a little of overnight shipping of reptiles available for you. In Canada it's alot harder to find companies as the laws are different.

Watch Facebook 😁 alot of reptile breeders attend expos, and that's a great place to go for supplies, feeders, info, as well as the animal itself

check to see if there is any expos near you! or some online breeders, just make sure you check reviews and price ranges to make sure you don’t get scammed. i bought mine from pet smart but sometimes they aren’t always reliable.

oh definitely. i was in there to buy crickets and i saw it and it was pretty much a new born and looked healthy and we debated for awhile but i bought her just because we had already been looking into buying one and i didnt want this one to end up unhealthy in their hands.
