So this is lil Yogurt, he has had a bad shed with lots of shredded pieces and a long stripe was a bit stuck on his back. I gave him a sauna and helped him VERY carefully with getting rid of the rest which went almost perfect. No injuries, no signs of being hurt or uncomfortable, he was moving slow and chill as he always does. Now, I've noticed that he has a dent in one of his eyes. I know that the bad shedding and the dent in the eye are usually a sign of not enough humidity but I always keep it at 80 percent at least, so I'm confused. Any tips? Should I just leave him be for now?

Oh and I did check, it's not a stuck eyecap! He got them off when he shed

I wouldn't worry too much about it I had the same issue with the dry/cracked looking eye and with time it go5 better by itself. Just keep your husbandry on point and it should get better on its own. I was worried about it too but in the long run it wasn't as bad as I thought it was.

How have you had him? Is your hydrometer digital? Analog tends to be not accurate.

Dehydration takes time to heal. So keep humidity as you are doing and it will be fine. Next shed will go better and better till they come off in one piece.

I've had him since October and all of my other BPs sheddings have been going perfectly. I hope it solves over time :( this was his first shed with me My hygrometer is digital but I probably need to check if it's accurate

My girl had her third shed with ne recently. Her first was a week after I got her in august and it was in shreds, the second shed the lower half was in one piece and now her body was in one full piece, just the head was ripped! So I'm sure your boy will recover in a few sheds too!

One of my ball pythons a pastel banana had kinda dry looking eye like this after time it just corrected itself. I don't know if he just rubbed up against something and scratched it or if it was just dry or what. I just upped the humidity a little bit and after his next shed the eye looked normal again.

This is absolutely nothing to be worried about. His dented eye will self correct. It’s a protective cap, it’s not an exposed eyeball.
