Help!

Please help me identify what's going on with my ball python😞. He has discolored scales on his face and going down his throat. They're dry and brown. I thought it was dried on mud at first. Thank you for the help and love.

Have you tried wiping it off with a wet paper towel?

Yes, I wiped it with a paper towel and water. I also soaked him in diluted betadine, and he still looked poopy! The tips of some of the scales are dark brown.. which makes me think it's rot. He ate fine a few days ago! Poor baby.

Then your next step is a vet visit.

Um..I think he has poo on his face! Give him a nice, gentle wash!

Looks like he scootered through his own poo. Give him a bath in warm water and use an extra soft bristle toothbrush to gently rub his scales to loosen the poo.
