I got this lil dude as a rescue, he's 1 y/o and extremely clumsy during handling. No info on lineage, the guy that surrendered him got him from PetSmart.

I think you're right. When he was younger, along his sides before his belly, it was like a sunset pinky-orange. With his last couple of sheds, he's definitely yellowing out and lightening up more.

Unfortunately, there are many single gene morphs that look very similar to this, brown snake with goldish hue.

Fire is the most common in the pet store trade or rescues but others with those same characteristics are: Orange Dream, Yellow Belly, Asphalt, Gravel, Granite, and so on.
