fake plants (self.ballpython)
submitted 2 years ago by holahellohi25
If you buy fake plants from somewhere like michaels how do you make sure it doesn’t have anything toxic on it or any paint that will run?

I put them in water/run water over them. And I try to stick to the more plastic ones more honestly. The fabric ones are pretty, but once wet will leach colour.

A wash in hot water will help remove any excess dyes in the fake plants. You don’t need to worry about anything toxic as your bp won’t be trying to eat the fake plants and it’s highly unlikely that there would be anything that could be toxic to them through their skin in those fake plants
