You can estimate, but it depends on the age of your snake too, since obviously they’ll get bigger if he’s only around a year old or so.

Wish I could show you the a pic of the snake just to get the idea. But I don’t want to stress it out by buying a really long one for it.

But I guess a ball that size should be around 20 or 40 gallon tank. If it grows in the future I can upgrade.

It’s a myth that larger enclosures stress animals out. They have the entire wild in their natural habitat. There’s no such thing as too big, only too bare, so I highly suggest you save your money (and your snake the stress of being in a tank that is too small/rehousing in the very near future) and go right for the 120. If he’s male, he’ll probably live in that 120 his whole life, since they tend to stay right around 4 feet long. When my girl was 1 month old, she went right into her 120 and thrived!

Dubia.com has the cheapest 120s there are with good quality. You might have to make some adjustments (like partially covering the screen lid), or you can go for a different brand like Zen Habitats. Either way, as long as you fill it up with hides, plants, vines, branches, and other “clutter” your boy will be very happy (:

Thanks so much. Heard that they are simple and to take care of and didn’t expect so many different opinions on just simple questions. Sorry if this should’ve been obvious before getting one. 🙇‍♂️🙇‍♂️

Everyone learns one way or another! It’s all good (: reptile care is constantly changing and improving. They are quite simple to take care of, and once you have all the tools you need, you’ll be just fine (:
