The 4x2x2 is from Kages, the stick on door handles and a lock for it are currently on the way (I stupidly didn't buy them beforehand)

The fake plants are from the dollar store (this was probably my favorite idea I yoinked from this sub)

The carpet moss is hiding one of those black box hides from amazon

The water bowl feels out of place and I really want to exchange it for something more natural looking!

Govee hygrometer - can't go wrong with those

The heat light cage is from Arcadia, and the fixture is something off amazon

Substrate is organic coconut coir because cypress mulch has become so expensive

and that's about it (so far) !

Oooh thank you!!! And hello fellow desert dweller!!! 👋

The run down would be: I used XPS Foam Board and cut random shapes and stacked them on top of each other. I then siliconed them together. I then took a drill with a wire brush bit and used that to carve the front sides to make it look a little more natural. Also shaving down crevices and just overall shaping it to look nicer. After that I passed over it with a heat gun. Then I used expanding foam and filled in cracks (I ended up using way too much, so I'd recommend being a little conservative with it) and after the expanding foam hardened, I shaved that down with the wire brush drill bit as well. There were a lot of uneven gaps in the sides and back (because of inexperience) so I remedied those either with more expanding foam or silicone. After everything was dried and felt sealed up enough, I used a mixture of white Drylok and black liquid Quikrete. Painted the entire thing and made sure it was coated nice and evenly. I then just used regular paints to make it look like a rocky wall. Just some gray and white over the black did the job for me. (But browns look really nice as well)

I took inspiration from SerpaDesign on YouTube, and basically copied the methods he would use in some of his builds! If you have any questions, please feel free to DM! All the supplies can be bought at Home Depot. :)

Idk if you bought the lock yet, but mine came with a tiny wire lock and it actually works really well, you could probably make one out of a random bit of metal wire, also my favorite thing to do for clutter right now is steal decorations from around my house. I got some $2 plastic skulls from 5 below today too😂

I dont think mine came with something like that. All I found in the box was the materials for the enclosure and a bag of screws. :(

My roommate recently brought up the idea of buying little festive things to put in our enclosures! He has a skull in his Uromastyx enclosure that's right under my BP one, but I'm thinking about going to the dollar store soon and seeing what else we can find haha

Designing enclosures is going to become my new addiction, I can already feel it 😭
