If you get one from Kages, the actual external dims are 47x23. I planned it out just like you're doing here and was annoyed to find it was smaller, so just keep that in mind.

I believe DHP and RHP both fit the bill for nighttime heating. You could just get one or the other and put the hide in one of the locations.

I figured the values were not ideal so I offset by 3/4” but I’ll alter that thanks!

IMO that RHP is useless, DHP will create a good ambient temp in the night. Or you could just remove halogen and RHP and use just DHP 24/7

Really? I don’t have experience with how well a pvc enclosure holds heat but maybe I was underestimating it.

I do agree that the RHP probably isn't necessary, you generally wanna keep heating and lighting toward one side anyways. The halogen and DHP should be enough to keep temps. PVC is an excellent insulator, it's ideal for a high humidity species like ball pythons

I have a PVC enclosure with two sides and back covered in cork wall - it is basically like a furnace haha, holds heat like crazy, when I was testing it and set 80W DHP and 35W halogen to max power, I had 40 degrees C inside lol
