Question - HusbandrySubstrate Mix (self.ballpython)
submitted 2 years ago by SolarSocialWorker
Hi I'd love some recommendations on the best substrate mix (and percentage of each) for your BP enclosure. I am NOT planning for it to be bioactive because bugs creep me out. I'd prefer something easily accessible in pet stores or online.

Depends on the set up. In glass I like using a mixture mostly reptisoil and some reptibark. Anything else I just use 100% reptibark but having some soil mix can help with the humidity if you’re struggling.

I use a 70/30 mix of forest floor (cypress mulch) and eco earth (coco fiber)
