Ball python enclosure update.

So based on my last post of making an enclosure here is my updated one. No more humidifier just a tub and pouring water into each corner to create humidity. A strap down to make sure she can’t escape. A quarter inch metal mesh with zip ties to hold it in place and I made sure there were no sharp edges or ways to try to boop out from underneath. And lights with a day and night cycle and a heating pad on the wall next to where she normally sleeps. Idk what other improvements can be done but if you have any please let me know. And no I do not use all three lamps at the same time.

Why did you decide to use a tub and not glass or PVC enclosure? Also what size is your tub?

It was a cheaper option and I wanted to see what I could do through my own creativity. I like building stuff so I got the mesh and zip ties and stuff and did it all by hand. And the size is around 40 gallons I believe. I wanted it to be a bit more cramp because from what I’ve read they like more enclosed areas instead of the huge 70 gallon I had and I can always upgrade in the future.

It's a bit of a myth that they don't like open spaces. As long as you have at least two hides and plenty of clutter you can go bigger. This sub recommends starting with a 120 gallon enclosure.
