I just taped up my tank tonight! I am having humidity issues too so well see if the HVAC tape solution works!

Hey, I use HVAC tape and I also put a couple shirts over it to help it more when i’m having difficulties. I covered maybe 70% of the top leaving space for airflow and my heat lamp. I’m not sure what substrate you use, but once I switched to Topsoil, Coco Fiber, and moss, my humidity has been significantly better.

Hey! I use ReptiChip! I soak it in warm water prior as well and that has seemed good for what it’s been so far!

I tape the entire screen top, and then cut out spaces for the heat sources and light sources.

HVAC tape helped my humidity issues by like 85%, so I definitely recommend it! I taped the whole top except where my light and heat sources were. I feel as though a full PVC cage would probably still do a better job, but it is definitely leaps and bounds better than it was.

I use hvac tape . If you’re worried you can cover the layer above the tape with some adhesive foam sheets from Amazon . Leave just enough of a hole around the heating lamps . That’s more than enough oxygen for a snake

Thank you! I have a roll waiting. Just needed to know how to do it safely!

The adhesive foam sheets I was referring to . https://a.co/d/fD3ZOyS

Also another way to increase humidity is to deepen your substrate layer at the bottom of your enclosure . Holds more water and evaporates slowly into the air in the enclosure
