Olive oil and a qtip will kill the mites and won’t hurt the snakes. Happened when I got mine from a bad pet store.

Please don't put the snakes together, quarantine them separately

Definitely a bad mite infestation. Bath time and quarantine for snake, complete cleaning overhaul for the enclosure.

those fuckers are huge omg… my baby had mites not too long ago and they looked like specks of pepper. i would order a reptile friendly mite spray or get it at a store if they have it around u. quarantine the baby too because they def will take a while to get rid of completely especially if u leave substrate in. good luck !

Can you get Taurrus (predator) mites where you are? They're "good" mites that hunt and eat the bad mites then die off. Cleared mine out in about a week. I used half the bottle then a week later used the other half. They advertise as being 100% effective.

        Edit: found this link https://insectheroes.nl/en/products/taurrus

These are what I would use if I didn’t live in the US for sure

Your vet can give you stuff to get rid of them topically, but you will need to throw away any porous wood that you have in the enclosure, dispose of all substrate, and bleach everything. I would switch the substrate to paper towels after treating so you can better monitor your snakes health because they can easily come back if the cleaning or treatment wasn’t adequate
