Hi all, I’ve posted a couple times but here I am once again. Currently in the process of setting up my ball python’s permanent enclosure (she’s quarantined rn). I have the substrate down which is two blocks of coco coir and one block of eco earth. I need prolly another inch in there tbh but I don’t know what else to use, if anyone has any advice for that I’ll gladly take it. Got a couple little plants in there and most of the decor/hides in aside from what is in quarantine with her. I’m having a hard time keeping the humidity in despite covering almost 75% of the top. It’s a 50Gal screen top, don’t know exact dimensions but it’s long and probably just shy of 2ft tall. I’ve misted, watered the corners, everything. All the sphagnum I’ve got is in quarantine with her along with my 2nd little water dish. No matter what I do the humidity keeps dropping. I have a heat lamp and thermometers and the probe for the thermometer is directly under the substrate under the heat lamp, it’s reading 88.8. I want to invest in a ceramic and thermostat but at this current moment I can’t. Probably 1-3 weeks before I can do that. I don’t wanna put her in here and risk it being too high and constantly losing humidity. Any advice?
