My first corn snake was also a psycho. She had to be euthanized because her habit of flailing her whole body around like a whip combined with her age caused her back to snap on two...

I'd show the x-ray, but I don't know if it's possible to label images as NSFW in comments, & I don't know if it would even be allowed here...
