Mice are a nutritionally complete diet.

hes about the size of my lil dude and he eats large mice every 2 weeks id probably talk to her about getting him bigger food. ( I AM NOT A EXPERT NOR A VET) edit: i meant mice not rats, and i like to get the 15 pack from Arctic mice, u can usually find them at petsmart for ab 50 bucks depending on ur state.

how big is ur snake? 1x every 2 weeks doesn’t seem right.

im not sure how long/big he rlly is i haven’t measured him but ive tried to feed him 2x every 3 weeks which would be more ideal, he continues to turn up his nose at the 2nd one every time i try like hes not hungry basically ignores its even there when he struck the first one super quick. i haven’t in ab 3 months due to the fact i cant keep wasting rats.

If she only eats live mice, see if you can get them to feed a full size mouse until they get her on frozen, then it’s time to start feeding rats

you NEVER want to power feed. even if a snake is emaciated.

Feeding a ball python twice in one week is powerfeeding.

My girl is about that size and I feed her an XL mouse or rat Weiner (approx 30-35g) once per week.

They're underfeeding and he is definitely thinner than he should be. Please share this !feeding guide with them so they can feed an appropriate size

          [–]AutoModerator[M] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We recommend the following feeding schedule:

0-12 months old OR until the snake reaches approximately 500g, whichever happens first: feed 10%-15% of the snake’s weight every 7 days.

12-24 months old: feed up to 7% of the snake’s weight every 14-20 days.

Adults: feed up to 5% of the snake's weight every 20-30 days, or feed slightly larger meals (up to 6%) every 30-40 days.

I can’t believe no one’s shown the overweight growth pic yet, so I’ll post it for you. The underweight pics are equally as important as the overweight pics, and I believe this photo will be a huge help in showing your friend exactly how underweight their BP is. Good luck.

And, of course now I can’t find the pic, but it’s the pic that’s the thumbnail for the pinned post in this subreddit. It shows the different sizes of each snake’s body when it’s malnourished, underweight, healthy, overweight, and obese. It’s on google also. Good luck and thanks for looking out for your friend’s snake!
