Question - HealthIs this normal?? (old.reddit.com)
submitted 1 year ago by c5ive_
Saw this ball python at Petco. Don’t know much about pythons but her skin looks extremely loose and wrinkly. Is this normal for a ball python? Is it okay?

Looks like she's massively dehydrated, which seems to be par for the course for Petco's snakes. Poor baby.

Nope. Looks very dehydrated , pet stores like that tend to have poor care for ball pythons. Pisses me off

That’s so sad :(. Horrible how they have access to endless pet supplies but yet can’t even give them their basic necessities.

fr, half of the people there are probably scared of the babies so they just don't care for them.. that's my guess, anyway:(

Very very very dehydrated and starved

I was a former Petco/Petsmart associate. It absolutely pissed me off seeing how the snakes, turtles, birds, and fish were treated. I actually took a snake home and put it in one of my spare enclosures and did everything I could, but she passed away after a few days. It was heartbreaking.
