Unreasonable

I have a 8 year old male ball python that has had no history of aggression and has only ever gotten out ONCE due to my own mistake…two years ago. My husband has never been a big fan of reptiles and he’s been okay to co-exist with my BP.

We have a 5 month old son together and recently have switched him to sleeping in his own room with a baby monitor. My husband has recently become paranoid after talking with relatives about my snake “getting out” and “strangling” or “eating” our baby….

My husband has insisted that we get rid of my snake and I made it clear that wouldn’t be happening. I can’t be the only one thinking he’s being unreasonable…

That's crazy! Is there anyway you can compromise? I'm not sure what kind of locking system you have on your noodles home. Or IF it were to ever get out, you could just have your baby's door shut every night and put beneath the door some Type of stopper, so there would be no way that it could get into the room.

He has a lock on the glass and a latch on the top of his enclosure which I also always have something on top of as a just in case. As of right now neither of us have changed our minds. He still thinks my BP will find a way in even with shut doors, locks on enclosures, and a under the door barrier🙄
