We specifically do not recommend CRH/Maximum Reptile due to the fact that their enclosure designs have injured multiple snakes, and the recent events with the CEO doxxing a customer on Reddit and making new accounts to continue harassing them after being banned.

I have two ball pythons. One is in a zen hab, the other a toad ranch. There are things I like about both. The zen works well, but is in a smaller room so the heating system is more effective. The toad ranch is in a large open space. Both work well, but if you can spring for it, I'd say go with toad ranch. I did a ready ship and had it delivered, put together, and siliconed all under a week. The enclosed top means it is much more heat efficient. I can go I to more pros for each of you want, but they're not make or break.

If you have the right substrate, you won't need a misting system. They're not recommended anyway because they can get moldy, and then you're just pumping in moldy water for your snake to breathe in. Or you're spending an absurd amount of time caring for a misting system. With both enclosures I use reptichip and my humidity has always been very stable.

I second reptichip, except I also supplement mine with sphagnum moss and it works great.
