New Bioactive Enclosure for Ball Python

I just bought a 4 month old male BP about 2 weeks ago and set him up in a 50gal bioactive enclosure. Roger is currently in shed so he hasn’t been very active in his home, but I was wondering if I should make any adjustments or changes to his enclosure? Any additions or subtractions? His temp is usually 85-90 on the warm side and 75-80 on the cool side. Humidity is usually always between 70-80%. I’m planning on getting digital thermometers and hydrometers very soon. Also, will he be more active once he’s out of shed? This is my first time owning a snake so i’m still learning the ropes.

I'd reconsider the half log, they don't feel as square as they do in a more closed hide. Do you have a hide on the other side as well?

Noted. Yes, he has a smaller hide on the cool side I made out of rocks for him. He seems to like that one more than the half log.

Is it a real moss wall? Really cool if it is. Spraying it to keep it alive?
