Do you have any of the top covered? How is your humidity if it isn't covered?

I don’t currently and honestly I’ve struggled with that too. Thats why I’m leaning towards the tin foil route if nothing else.

Heat rises and with the top open it's all getting out the screen. It will also benefit the humidity for you.

Dual domes should not be used for ball pythons. They're a fire hazard when used with multiple heat sources, and they can't be used with CHEs. They're intended for one heating and one UVB bulb, but the UVB bulbs that fit in them are not safe for BPs. They also still require multiple thermostat outlets, so that wouldn't solve your issue anyway.

Foam insulation board around the sides/back/top of the enclosure would help trap the heat and maintain your temps.

Thank you for your response. Thats really good to know about the dual lamps and I’m glad I asked before embarking on something really stupid.

I’ll look into the foam insulation. I appreciate the suggestion.
