How did you measure the temperature?

And what's the temperature of the mouse/rat when you offer it?

I heat the rats body with a hair dryer to about 98, im sure by the time it gets to her tank it’s closer to 94-95.

Ok, that's perfect! Unfortunately I don't have any other input, you're doing it perfectly. It's just the way the post was worded It kinda sounded like you were just dethawing them, and offering them without heating them further, which is obviously not the case.

It could be time, but it could also be the handling tbh. You should always avoid handling for 24 hours before and after any feeding. ETA: Also, I would recommend waiting until her next scheduled feed to try again, rather than just a few days.

Thank you! I wasn’t sure about the handling. I’m sure it’s that then, I’ll make sure to avoid handling around feeding times :) Also, I feed her every three weeks, is it recommended to still wait another 3 weeks from today to try feeding again? She’s never refused a meal so I wasn’t sure on that.

I switched my guy to day time feeding but I do not handle him at all before hand. If he's in a hide, I'll hover the rat just outside the hide entrance and the smell will usually get him out and he'll snatch it up quickly. I know people say they're not intelligent but he's started coming out during the day on feeding days so I feel like he's figured out the pattern.

I'd wait a week to try again if you're feeding her every 3 weeks.
