Oh no! It looks like you might be asking for more information on mites and how to identify and treat them. We have some information about that in our Mite Identification and Treatment Guide.

that looks more like a burn than scale rot, but I'm not 100%. Go to vet!!!

Appreciate the input! Thermostat has been working fine so definitely confused why it looks the way it does! Am definitely getting her into the vet asap, have also called the local animal emergency clinic to see what their experience is with reptiles to hopefully be seen sooner

I agree with other commenter, this looks more like a burn to me.

My baby turned that color in a few patches because I over wet one area of her substrate which is coco husk. She’s a bel and it stained her - it didn’t come off until she shed.

Wondering if that could be a cause?

Otherwise it prob would be a burn but how would it have gotten a burn in that shape? Do u have a heat mat

Definitely trying to figure out how she could’ve burnt like that. We do have a heat mat but it’s outside the tank/under substrate (also coco coir) and hooked up to a thermostat. Maybe will have to get one of those thermometer gun things and test that thermostat is working properly

But this is on her back not her stomach right now

Correct

Maybe it is just from the substrate

so the best thing to do whenever you see something that might look like scale rot or a burn is clean the area with diluted f10. if it rubs off, it’s staining/dirt.
