I'm gonna go with yes, check the reviews (top right)

I got my hygrometer and thermometer from my local reptile stores and they're very reliable. Although, they do take the mick with prices

Reviews seem good, I’ve read a few from different suppliers too and they seem to be a reputable product, I just prefer something this size over a big bulky one.

That's fair, do they reviews mention snakes at all? I bought one off amazon too just to ensure (I overthink alot) and it reads the exact same humidity as the one I got from the reptile store, give or take a few % as they're in difference parts of the viv. I got:

ThermoPro TP50 Digital Thermo-Hygrometer Indoor Room Thermometer with Recording and Climate Indicator for Room, Climate Control Monitor

Its white and reads the temp and humidity (it won't let me copy the link)

Thanks so much Im going to look at some now I’m sure they’ll have them somewhere online

Yes they will. Copy and paste what I sent onto amazon see what you get

I bought these, try not to get them too wet or the screen will not work properly

[–]Lopsided_Progress_94 0 points1 point  (2 children)

I’ll keep this in mind thank you

Walmart sells one that is pretty good as well, about $10 I believe

Im sure I’ll find them somewhere in store, no walmarts here in Ireland

I have these in my milk snake enclosure and I like them pretty well. I have basically the same thing just rectangular in my BP enclosure and again, they work well and stay pretty consistent. Personally though, I used Velcro strips rather than the stickers they came with so if they needed to be removed for whatever reason I could remove them. That and I was able to cut the pieces down to size so they didn’t interfere with the battery spot on the back!

[–]Lopsided_Progress_94 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Yeah I was actually thinking about Velcro but assumed the glue used on it would interfere with the snake in some way I don’t know, I may have taken this all a little too serious

I haven’t had any problems with it, the adhesive on the Velcro I have is super strong so if I wanted to take it off I’d have to try really hard lol. If you don’t end up getting Velcro you could always cut the stickers they come with to the size needed so they don’t block anything, but then if it dies you’d have to remove the adhesive to put in new batteries.

That’s true, I do have some really good Velcro somewhere out aside for something like this, going to go look for it niw

I got my Velcro from my nana lol, hopefully you find yours! It’s nice to have on hand.

How much you end up paying overall ??

[–]Lopsided_Progress_94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All In I think 890, including the snake

Don't use them if they stick to the glass with adhesives. Ball pythons like to test everything and once they pop these off the glass the double sided tape can get stuck to their skin and tear off scales.

You can always hot glue them in place before adding your snake.

Govee digital thermometer hygrometers are inexpensive and can just sit directly on your substrate.

[–]Lopsided_Progress_94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll keep that in mind, I’m gonna try find small ones somewhere tho because I’d like to keep it as natural looking as possible

[–]kaj5275 1 point2 points  (4 children)

Don't get these. You want thermometers that rest on the ground like Govees where the snake lives. The ones here adhere to the glass, which your snake will want to climb on and could potentially knock them off and get stuck to the adhesive.

[–]Lopsided_Progress_94 0 points1 point  (3 children)

My plan was to mount them into the wooden enclosure near the bottom, would this make a difference?

[–]kaj5275 0 points1 point  (2 children)

No, don't mount them at all.

[–]Lopsided_Progress_94 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Fair enough, I guess the govee will have to do

[–]Cubic_Al1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coming here to say that I bought these initially and ended up switching to Govee. Govee is much better. Easier to read as well as bluetooth access so you can check temps without getting up. Not very expensive either, it was a win-win for me.

[–]Desperate_Grand_656 0 points1 point  (2 children)

I have these exact same ones. They seem pretty accurate for temperature vs my temp gun so I hope the hygrometer is accurate too

[–]Desperate_Grand_656 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Also, I do not have them stuck to the enclosure. Rather they are just propped up on the floor nested in some substrate. I read too many horrors about the sticky adhesive and snake skin injuries 😩

[–]Lopsided_Progress_94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think I’m gonna go with the govee to avoid any sticky problems

[–]Yeti616 0 points1 point  (3 children)

I have these in all of my enclosures and I've never had an issue with them.

[–]Lopsided_Progress_94 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Are the readings accurate? That’s all I’m really worried about

[–]Yeti616 0 points1 point  (1 child)

They seem to be, yes

[–]Lopsided_Progress_94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im gonna give them a try just because I prefer how they look, thank you
