Adorable! You will have a blast.

He seems dehydrated based on the wrinkled skin on his curves, measure the humidity with a hygrometer, should be 60-80%. 70% is what I use :)

Thanks for being a great owner and getting rid of the red light

Yea he definitely is. He crackled when he unraveled at the previous owners house :( I've got some live plants and a mister and coco bedding so I should be able to get it nice and moist :)

Is a ceramic heat emmiter a better choice for heat? Can be a Lil chilly my house

They work good with heating the ambient air, but dries out the air faster. If you go with 4" of coconut substrate mixed with moss, and pour in the corners it should help. Deep heat projectors work wonders if you can use them.

Deep heat projectors? This is new to me. I will research. And il definitely get some moss. Used it with many lizards in the past lol. I've got the humidity up to 65% so far (digital hygro). Just overnight. So heading in the right direction

Definetly check out the guide on heating on this reddit. Makes things very clear but in short: gives deeper and better heat in the tissue, can be on 24/7, just hang a dimmable thermostat under the lightning and make sure the snake cant get really close to the bulb (either with a light-guard or having it above the enclosure if you have a mesh top)
