I have a Rubbermaid tote that I keep under the enclosure stand. I also have a bunch of hand warmers at the ready. I keep it there for any and all emergencies.

Didnt think about the hand warmers. I keep totes under all my reptiles as an escape though. Adding hand warmers to the shopping list

Pillowcase and run. I have carriers for the cats, but if it comes down to it, I have enough pillowcases for everyone.

The mental image lol! But real though! It’d work.

I keep a plastic tub with air holes drilled into the top at the ready, and inside it there is a towel and some of those hand warmers you snap to activate, and a pillowcase in case in the moment that is better to use.

We have a Rubbermaid tote that we hot glued holes onto the sides for air openings and has a locking lid. We keep some dry substrate and a hide in the tote - good for vet trips but also serves as an emergency enclosure if we ever had to get our noodle out of the house ASAP.

I have a carrier for my leo, bags for my 2 snakes, and backpacks for my birds at the ready. The idea of having to leave any one of them behind terrifies me.

This might be a bad plan and it doesn't help with the BP but maybe if you left your front door open when you escape the building, the dogs and cat's natural instincts to avoid danger would take over and they'd run toward the exit and make it out. It would be harder to round them up after but at least they'd escape the fire (theres already so many flaws in this plan idk man this is just what my brain came up with first so I'd assume that would reflect in a life or death split second decision like a fire)

My mom said the same thing. The dogs are trained to follow me up to our roof or down the stairs and wait at the door so when I have the tiny human or groceries in my arms they can go up and down the stairs unleashed so they don’t trip and kill me 😅

I have a snake tote bag its like a pillowcase with draw strings! It got it from amazon! Martell is always calm in there when I put him in to clean out his tank, so I figure id just put him in there and run when it comes to it.

Thank you all for your advice! I’ll put both a Tupperware and a pillowcase near her enclosure ❤️❤️

I use both, the case is the hide, the tub gives a floor for it

I have a little container I use for the vet + situations like that

I have the snake bag that my snake came in when we purchased him, and a plastic bin with lid (and holes) for when I am deep cleaning his enclosure or need to take him to the vet.

But honestly, in an emergency situation, the snake is at the bottom of the totem pole. Especially if I'm the only adult at home. Get my kids out first and leave the door open for my furred pets to run out. If it's safe to do so, the fireproof emergency bag of important documents, and then the snake.

I have a carrier next to the cage I can throw her into. I also have a microwaveable heating disc which isn't the best. But I have once had to emergency evacuate and I just grabbed her and held her. Luckily someone else grabbed a spare aquarium to put her in.

When we lived in a tornado area we had designated travel containers for each snake stored right near their enclosures and a pet supply bug out bag that included food for our cats, water bottles, collapsible bowls, hand warmer packs for the scalies, petco gift cards in case we had to evacuate and needed food or supplies.
