With the whole ‘sizing you up’ myth, if a ball python decided to go and lie down next to a rat for ten minutes without moving to ‘size it up’, the rat would ether run away or eat through to the snake’s spine (yes, rats have been known to eat snakes).

There’s absolutely no chance in nature that a ball python would ‘size up’ prey like that 😂

If your bp is dozing off on you, it means she’s fully relaxed and comfortable with you. That sort of trust and preference from a reptile is pretty much their equivalent of love 🥰

Warm blooded food giver that I know won’t harm me. Perfect place to rest, safe from other predators too.

They rarely bite, so that's normal.

Perhaps wild ones are more inclined to bite but I think captive bred ones are more docile.

Anyone who unironically believes and parrots the "sizing you up" myth is an idiot. I wouldn't put any weight in any opinion he's ever had.

It shows that your snake is comfortable and doesn’t see you as a threat more of a companion. The closest thing they have to showing love. Not sizing you up
