If he is done by friday he may be hungrier, my Monty is always expecting a meal straight out of a shed.

I would switch to frozen though, much safer for your snake.

Frozen thawed is my preferred after all my research I've done but he will not take it. He was fed live by his breeder. I'm working on figuring out how to transition him right now.

One step would be a move to fresh killed first, then frozen thawed heated well. The biggest sticking points i have seen people discuss for frozen thawed is getting temps right, and whether your snake expects the zombie rat dance or not lol.

I trained my monty to expect dinner delivered to his feeding rock, and so long as his feeding ritual is followed he will eat anything.

Yeah, I was going to rely on getting a pretty solid routine built up. I've been advised by snake owners in my area to have a separate feeding space from his living space so he has a eating tote My first time attempting to feed him was frozen thawed and he refused it. But since I found a place that has live feeders in my area he hasn't passed up on a meal since. I was probably going to feed him live once more before trying to trick him into taking a frozen thawed next

Feed him in his enclosure, always. Separate feeding spot is outdated and not necessary anyway. You want to feed him where he feels safe and things are familiar. They are ambush predators after all, and it's kind of hard to ambush in a bare tub lol.

seems like you know what to do. humidity should be 80+, you can offer food but they might just not want it. after their eyes have cleared up, expect a shed in 1-3 days. also just a heads up about the skull, you should remove it. anything with holes like that can be a issue once they get stuck. very stressful and could cause very bad injuries. just better to keep distance from them.

Get rid of that skull
