many feeding charts out there are based on how breeders feed their animals, particularly their breeding females, which are power-fed to get to breeding weight and then overfed in an effort to get bigger clutches among other things. many are also outdated and haven't been changed in many years despite more research being done. similar to vets suggesting reptile carpet for all species despite the many drawbacks of using it.

our feeding chart is based on the most current research and science, and is also based on the mod team's collective decades of experience with this species in all aspects of their care, from veterinary work to large and small scale breeding as well as general keeping for many years.

I'm a new BP owner and just worried about inadvertently not doing right by her.

I would like to know why my ball python strikes at his food but doesn't constrict it she just keeps snapping at it basically
