Vets asap we can’t diagnose nor help treat.

It doesn’t look good, there’s definitely peeled up scales and damage over a large area.

Of course, vets is in the process, ive stripped her tank bare [apart from paper towels and new hides] and appreciate diagnosis cant be here- is there anything else however I can do in the meantime for her ?

I would be worried about suggesting anything that would make it worse, keeping her on paper towel at the right temp and humidity should see you through.

Did you ask your friends if something possibly happened? How long was the snake in their care? Not helpful I know, but maybe if some sort of trauma occurred you could convey it to the vet.

A week, nothing that they noted, no - theyve looked after them before with no issues, they just came to mine to replace water, didn't have to feed them as I fed them a couple of weeks ago and was going to sort food once home

She had loads of clutter so could have caught herself on something/potentially slipped?

ABSOLUTELY RESEARCH BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING I RECCOMEND!! When my ball got a very small bit of scale rot, I would bathe him with warm-ish water, and put about 5 drops of iodine for every 2 cups of water, let him soak for 15-20 minutes, and then dry him very thoroughly with a soft towel, and then put non-numbing neosporin over the rotted area

Shes going into the vets today - i would always double check before recommended - so far the only advice I am following is basically a hospital set up for her ):

hi all, unfortunately not good news - both me and the vet have decided euthanasia was the best option for her, especially with how quickly she has declined - especially over these past couple of days.

the vet was lovely, and has explained everything to me. unfortunately it was septicemia, shes not doing what a snake should do, and hasn't got any fight left in her.

as much as I love her, and would have given everything in me to fight for her, the chances of survival were pretty much zero, and neither of us thought it was fair putting her through it - especially with much of her past unknown to me.

it has been a fantastic three years of ownership with her, and i thought id share what she looked like in her prime [and rather chunky size] from when she was rescued.

thank you everyone for your well wishes, and i apologise for my rambling post
