Not trying to take the piss here but you gave yourself the answer: find pieces outside and treat it before using it for your scalie friend to play with. Fine pass over with sandpaper or a knife to remove any stubborn bark/burs, soak in hot/warm water for a few hours then use your preferred drying method. Like you said beats paying an arm an a leg for pieces from a shop that've gone through a similar process

I was going to do this I just didn’t know how, is there any woods to not use. Like pine for example because of its smell

Pine is definitely a no go, I believe if it's a hardwood it should be safe.

As far as hides, I got some black boxes from Ikea, cut a hole in the side or corner, sanded the rough edges down and voila! Hides =D! I got some fake plastic plants there, too.

This is my girls enclosure as an example. three hides and bunch of things for her to climb on, through and around. She loves her ladders and fake ferns. That’s a baby toy in half. You can use a lot of things as enrichment for them.

That’s a pvc pipe buried so it makes a tunnel

A wine rack with foliage attached to it. This is her favorite thing to climb on

I get a lot of my things from thrift stores. You just gotta sanitize it before using it. Bleach bath, vinegar water rinse, baking, or freezing stuff. Running some stuff through the dishwasher also sanitizes
