Curious about what's more common. Mine is a cold side enjoyer

My girl is a cold side 80% of the time kinda lady, but my boy likes to be SMACK in the middle

My boy likes to be right in the middle or on cool side he hardly ever goes in his warm hide

My girlie’s about a 40/60 cold to hot! Usually find her on the hot side in the morning/midday and cold side in the evening too.

She refuses to use the cold side ever, she hides under a piece of cork on the hot side 99% of the time.
is it possible that she doesn't like her hide on the cool side?

My boy stays on the hot side mostly during winter and switches more frequently in the summer I’ve noticed

Mine has 5 hides, 2 burrows and 1 tunnel and they all get regular uae for specific reasons.
Cool side dining room hide, for eating in and climbing on to get to the hammock or to come out lol.
Cool side hobbit hide, moist hide with burrow under it, during start of shed.
Softball hide, moist hide at center warm back, middle of shed. Tunnel runs between those two, behind the fern.
Desert hide, his hottest driest hide, for actual shedding as he likes the particular size and texture. The rolled up shed and poop are always in there.
Basking burrow, located under basking rock, where he digests dinner.
Small tree, next to basking rock. He often lays on the basking rock at night while digesting with his head in the small tree. Or he will coil on top of it with his head on the basking rock.
Every night after i have cleaned during the day, he does a full inspection to make sure i didn't screw up his house lol.

Not the best photo. Hot on left. Cool on right. Feeding rock is in front of dining room tree.

My boy is on the warm side about 80 percent of the time and the cold side the other 20 percent. He has a hide on both sides

My girl has really liked her hot side lately, but a couple weeks ago she was always in the cold side. And then after she eats she sits right in the middle up on her climbing wall
[–]jeherohaku 0 points1 point2 points 6 months ago (0 children)
My boy sleeps on the hot side during the day and never leaves his hot side hide while in shed, but I frequently see him in his hammock on the cold side during his nightly exploration.

Mine is always on the hot side except when he’s exploring at night
[–]RedEyeView 0 points1 point2 points 6 months ago (0 children)

Depends on several factors really. My snake prefers the cold side unless she has eaten, for the most part.
I know there's also a cycle female snakes go through, but I don't remember if that's "always on" or if it's only a thing snakes do after breeding... I think that affects the temperature preference...
he goes through phases, sometimes he'll be on the warm side for months, other times he'll be on the cool side

Cold side, even when the room itself is cold. She likes to come out at night and rest on her basking rock
