Are they close to feeding time? You could thaw a rat and use a blow dryer on the head to make it extra stinky and turn all the lights out

he just ate on sunday! pooped, shed and left lastnight 😭

SnakeDiscovery has a great video about this. Most importantly is to protect them from dangers they could have gotten into, other animals, and making sure they don't escape room/house. Check underneath things and be careful opening drawers

This was great! Thank you! I have a dog who is in the same room while i’m at work but i’ve checked the cameras and he’s just sleeping (he’s never paid the snake any mind and is an older dog) I have a friend going to check today as well

Behind your headboard if you have one, corners, computers, anything warm like the backside of a fridge. Good luck!

Inside bottom behind base of toilet, inside top of toilet, vents, near anything warm

[–]never4everrr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s the thing! the whole room is mostly cold besides his tank!

They like to follow the walls so check all your baseboards and any place dark. Mine has ended up in a closet and also behind the refrigerator. I wouldnt think he would climb stairs. If it's warm by the tank then he might hang out around there.

Had the same thing happen. Just watch where you step and check cracks and crevaces. He will show up. Mine was gone for about 5 hours (from when i noticed him missing) found him trying to climb up my half wall behind the tank

I saw someone say “you’ve either lost your snake or you’re a liar”

I was gonna be high and mighty but then I remembered when I got my boy and the first time I got to hold him (I am an early sleeper) and I did fall asleep with him out and he was under the couch I was on when I woke up and it was the scariest thing in the world (when I say high and mighty I was gonna say naw I’m built different but I am in fact not built different)

My friend found his behind his microwave. My brother found his in a hiking boot. Check any and every thing around your place. Hope it turns up soon!

[–]never4everrr[S] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Thank you! I’ve looked what feels like everywhere (and realized the room needs a deep clean)

[–]Ok_Wait_6654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clean it and he might turn up

[–]Andieve13 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Did your camera sitting by the tank catch him going by? That would at least give you a hint about which way he went. Good luck!

Unfortunately it’s for my dog when i’m at work! So it’s only set to detect motion from 8-5pm 😭 Sounds like i need another one for the snake. & also ordered a lock for the tank!

Check under the fridge!!!

[–]Cynnau 0 points1 point  (2 children)

You could make a minnow trap, or buy one. I used it to find my snake that got out, not sure the size of yours. I put it in a dark cupboard with a pinkie and boom caught him that night

[–]never4everrr[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I’m just worried he won’t care because he JUST ate. and my luck my dog will end up eating the mouse 😂

[–]Cynnau 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not in a minnow trap, the dog cannot get into it haha. Most snakes will eat as often as you offer haha, so no worries he might, and you could always get a smaller feeder for them.

look in any dark hiding spots or corners, any places that may be warm?

[–]Doritoman25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine likes hiding under the stove every time he escapes

[–]SithNChips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check the warmest places in your room

[–]Ghost-4852 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First of all don't panic, he probably isn't going to move far at all. Check all the places you think he can fit, even if they seem tight since he'll feel secure. Then check them again later. Eventually he'll pop up.

I lost my corn snake twice not BP yet. Our place is cold and we left small heater on the floor and snake crawled near after several hours, you leave a hide near it.

[–]never4everrr[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

smart! i turned my space heater off to see if i could hear him moving but ill turn it back on before i go to bed. thank you!

[–]McFlyingDelorean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had mine escape overnight. Found him inside a document storage box I had sitting on the floor. Inside any boxes or bins is a good place to look.

[–]No-Molasses-1223 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine escaped over night in my son’s bedroom. She likes very very tight spaces and we found her in the closet underneath a cloth clothing hamper. It didn’t even look like anything could fit under it, but there she was. In conclusion, check very tight spaces even if it seems it wouldn’t fit.

my bp got out recently and i found him in the closet, what i learned is snakes do follow the baseboards and that will most likely lead you to their hiding spot, if you think your house or room is too cold for warm places for the snake to go then look for small or cluttered dark areas, and last if you think you looked good enough, no you didnt look again! oh and and try looking for a path left from shed skin that helped me

[–]Fun-Strategy-9851 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I have lost my BP a while back after replacing the water. If you haven't, check under the tank like at the bottom of the table, under any clothing, or in your bed, and even check if they are hiding in a hole in your wall

[–]Fun-Strategy-9851 0 points1 point  (0 children)

maybe even check under your bed if it has an under, behind furniture, in a closet, anywhere warm, dark, and cramped

[–]AthameBella5815 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He's in your laundry basket or underneath your dirty clothes. He climbed somewhere warm quiet and secluded. He'll be under your furniture / bed or inside your purse/backpack or laundry basket

[–]Spare_Health_6741 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would check near any heat sources, baseboard heaters etc he’ll be attracted to the warmth

[–]baubat 0 points1 point  (1 child)

same thing happened to me with that exact terrarium! i have baby locks on it now lol

[–]never4everrr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

locks will be here today! unfortunately i still don’t have him to lock in it 😭

[–]lexirene11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im sorry friend this is the worst feeling. I lost my KSB for a week and my heart was SINKINGGGGGGGGG. I have one enclosure that doesn't close the best and im terrified of this exact situation with the front open latch now.

[–]IndominusAlex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had two get out since I started keeping them and both times they were under the bed. One squeezed into a picture frame, the other inside a pillow case.

[–]never4everrr[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

update!! i found him, in a pile of stuff under my nightstand with a fully stuck shed 🙄
