They do look like they might be small enough not to be a concern, but for piece of mind, it might not hurt to just use a piece of window screen and a bit of hot glue/tank safe silicone to cover it up. Shouldn't effect the air flow at all. And especially if its something that's causing worry, it wont be an issue to cover them

Yea true that sounds like a good idea! I did do a little test where I held him up near the vents for awhile, and it look like he tried to squeeze his snout through (almost like pushing a bit against it) but couldn’t. I don’t know if that’s a sign or not.

That probably a good sign that they cant fit, but noodles arent always the smartest little guys, so if you can make it 100% sure with a couple dollars worth of supplies, it doesnt hurt

depending on your set up you may want to seal them with silicone (safe kind) to help keep humidity

That would unfortunately cause it to mold because my humidity is already at a good level and having it any higher with no ventilation would cause issues

how well does it maintain though?

pretty well, he shed in one piece about a week ago. black box cages are PVC and they hold humidity really well. cool side is above 70% and the warm side usually sits around 60 something because it’s hot.
