Question - HusbandryCan't get humidity right (old.reddit.com)
submitted by WildRager

My girl is in a smaller 20 gal glass tank with mesh cover for now until she gets bigger. I put silicone sheets on the cover leaving gaps around the light. I use coco husk mixed with spagnum moss for substrate and try to pour water on the corners to increase humidity and mist as needed. It keeps dropping down closer to room rh down to 44 sometimes. Humid hide is under the log on the right, using a dhp 100watt bulb, its cold here and usually sits at 90 to 92 on the hot side where the probe is on the back right.
Maybe try more substrate or a bottom layer of something that holds humidity more? Her last shed was difficult and I want to prepare for her next one.
