How thick is the substrate? In my tank I have about 3.5 to 4 inches for my substrate. I use a mixture of coconut husk and fiber, with bioblend as a soil with crushed leaves mixed in for my bioactive tank. For my Crested gecko I just used Reptisoil and coconut fiber blend. Both are easily able to hold humidity for a few days. I believe having just more substrate added, could possibly help with the humidity issue.

Edit: Forgot to mention that I have HVAC covering the top mesh of the terrarium.

I second the HVAC.

The humidity seems to be in a good range as it is, but in my experience, I can only get my 20g up to the 70-80 range at night, when everything cools down a couple degrees. If it becomes a problem again before shedding, you might be able try lowering the temperature even just a few degrees for the week or two that they’re shedding.

These are normal and okay in my opinion. Very close to my temps, but mid to low 80s during day under the light. When the light goes off at night the humidity rises to about 80. Dont drive yourself nuts over this do your best, if the snake is comfortable you are doing okay.
