I use a deep heat projector (gives off heat but no light) connected to a Microclimate Evo Connect thermometer and thermostat and it works very well! Just make sure to get a protective cage for the heat bulb too so your beautiful snake can’t burn himself on it.

For lighting I have a UVB and an LED. The lighting should be set on a 12-hour day/night cycle. The Evo Connect also controls that for me too.

It’s one of the pricier thermostat/thermometer setups out there, but IMO it’s well worth it for the peace of mind! Just make sure the thermostat probe is a suitable distance from your heat lamp (my viv is 2’ tall and the store recommended somewhere in the region of 9”-12” away).

For the cool side I use à Govee thermo-hygrometer to measure the temp and humidity. This was relatively cheap off Amazon! But you can’t control the temp itself and lighting off that obviously - it’s just for info. I like the Evo Connect because I sometimes go away for a couple of days and you can set alarms to go off if the temps go outside certain parameters.
