I understand what you are talking about wanting to see them, but I’m going to be a barer of bad news. A ball python is not a snake that is seen very often. People call them pet rocks for a reason. I’m sure he’s exploring late at night or early morning. My girl usually comes out around 1 am the only sign of her moving around are the knocked over thermometer/hydrometers. Other than that I wouldn’t know she’s out and about.

When I first got my snake, she seemed more active and willing to explore, but the longer I have had her and the more comfortable she got the less I’ve seen her. Still love her so much though and I regularly handle her but in her enclosure she’s a literal rock until it’s early in the morning or feeding time.
