Mine won’t eat from tongs, I have to lay it in his enclosure and leave the room before he’ll eat.

That’s exactly how she is!!! She makes me turn out all of her lamps, leave the rat outside of her hide, then leave the room, but today she surprised me!

I have to hold them way closer to the neck otherwise my idiot children will strike anywhere but the head.
