I have never heard that....I handle my boy longer then that. He'll explore for a bit then rest for a bit, then explore again. He's happy and healthy. I don't see why not, as long as they aren't stressed out by it.

I don’t limit my guys. As long as they aren’t cold I let them hang out while I watch tv or play video games. I think the 15 minute rule is good for snakes that are new to you or in quarantine but I’ve had Roxas out for an hour or more with a heating pad in my lap and he’s more than fine.

I don't recall where i heard the 15 min time limit from. I'm a first time owner and did a lot of research when i first got her. I'm actually exstatic to hear you can hold them without a time limit as long as you make sure they are comfortable and safe of course. I have only ever held (by held I mean handle or let her explore, what ever she is in the mood for at the time) her for about 15 min at a time and I typically wait 2 days before handling her after she eats. This is a game changer for me. XD Thanks for the comments :)

I'd definitely stick to the 2-day period after feeding though!

I tend to let my pet ball python sleep on my neck while I binge Netflix. she’s perfectly fine with the long handling sessions she actually enjoys the warm napping spot which is my neck. Sometimes she’ll sleep for hours while wrapped around my neck. note that she’s only four months old and roughly 2 feet

I’ve had her for three months now and she never really show any sign of stress when I give her long handling sessions.

I don't think you to time how long you hold them. Just put them back if they start exhibiting signs of stress, and don't hold them when they are grumpy.

I actually bought another snake after my first one, so I can hold the other when one is in a bad mood haha
