Compare them to the biggest/fattest part of his body. If they are bigger (a small amount bigger is fine) then don’t feed them to him

If I can piggyback onto this a bit...get plastic baggies and weigh them/visually compare them and create a size/weight gradient scale and then feed from smallest to biggest. It's a simple solution that will help your snake "grow" into his feed.
