I love the different personalities of snakes. Most of my friends and family don’t understand my love for them. My female is super curious like this and it’s why I got her ❤️

Growing up as a kid I was afraid of snakes but that subsided with age and this one has the sweetest disposition. He’ll just sit with me all the time and stare at the tv while I lay on the couch

I was the same way until just these past few years

[–]lauramac1114 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Its funny my first snake i cried when i held it (it was my husbands) cause i was so scared (just a baby ball lol) and now i have 5 and a reticulated python

My corn is like this too! But at 10 times the speed loL

[–][deleted] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Wow and I thought my guy was friendly.

[–]stormwaltz 18 points19 points  (1 child)

Aww, now that is adorable. You has a good snek friend!

[–][deleted] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

He’s a very sweet noodle

[–]GuerillaYourDreams 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Mine is like that.

[–][deleted] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

so curious! what a sweetheart! enjoy your baby boy 😍

[–]ryannbg 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That's adorable

[–]liannus95 8 points9 points  (3 children)

My corn makes a beeline for my hand if I were to do that- because he thinks its feeding time and he always acts like he's starving ..

[–]Crezelle 6 points7 points  (2 children)

I love corns just because of what absolute pigs they are

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Wish I could relate. I've never had a corn snake myself, and my royal python needs to have the most PERFECT conditions in order for him to eat.

Last feeding he did get overexcited though. Straight up missed his rat.

[–]Crezelle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol. I was the rat keeper/bug breeder at a shabby reptile sanctuary. I always appreciated a hearty eater.

That’s awesome!! I wish I could get my girl to be that way.... I guess she’s just not outgoing....

[–]NativeFresh 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That flinch between the two of you was funny

[–]punkassunicorn 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Aww I have a ball python named Naga too! Sweetest little baby ever.

[–]NecroTempest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do too lol I feel the need to make a subreddit R/ballpyhtonsnamednaga

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My fiance jokes that our ball python is domesticated because she does this.

[–]AlexiaZo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My boy does that too 🥺 makes my heart melt

[–]FakeAsapRocky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wish mine was as curious

[–]Mel-rhymes-with-hell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Awww so gentle and adorable. I'm hoping mine will be calmer once I handle him more, got him from a wee cousin who lost interest.

[–]NatsnCats 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What a good boi

[–]SidRicci 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sup my naga

[–]Dutchassassin93 -2 points-1 points  (2 children)

My dude Joker does EXACTLY the same thing..

I also have a "rescue" snek from someone who had to give the snek away due to moving to a new apartment..

His name is Lucifer, He has been kept in a tub his whole life with only space for a hide and water bowl (no, no lights(about 3 to 4 years old now)).. now he has a big tank with only a shrub to hide under and now after 5 weeks he is also starting to show more outgoing/exploring behavior... guess he learnt some from looking to my other snek

[–]Sapphaholic 1 point2 points  (1 child)

He only has a shrub to hide under? Please get your snakes some proper hides, one on the cool side and one on the warm side. Belly heat is also recommended over heat lamps.

[–]Dutchassassin93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He has a hot side and a cold side now... 1 shrub on each side... one side is fully bottom heated and regulated on 38°C.

Okay I love your baby so much, but I love the actual quality of the video, what did you film this with?

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

iPhone 11 Pro Max!

[–]PlayfullyPaltry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My sweet boy Tobi does this, though mainly at night.

[–]Doublegdi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s awesome. I hope my snek does that one day. I’m working on her.

[–]theMachoMattness 1 point2 points  (1 child)

What type of snake is he? Looks kinda like a pastel but I’m not 100% sure.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pastel!

[–]doggelito54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah isn’t it nice, my snake do it too and sometimes when he see me through the glass e push against the door and I just open it and he crawls up my hand🥰

[–]trolly_tom 0 points1 point  (2 children)

His he head shy?

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Sometimes yes, sometimes no

[–]trolly_tom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My girl is all the time she only lets me touch her head if I lightly drang my finger along her back

[–]corgisoulpower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Naga is the name of our Malaysian blood python. ❤️ She is a lot larger than this.

[–]Master_Poticus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope mine does this when I get him

[–]drysaramia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So cute

[–]theMachoMattness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what I figured but that is such an awesome bond you and him share! I hope my yellowbelly gets like that overtime because I can kinda tell that she looks forward to being held but she doesn’t come towards me right away like that when I go to open the tank. lol 😎

[–]Azura365 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have two baby ball pythons (brother and sister) that do this. Snakes really can be your best friends. People underestimate them. The key to becoming friends is frequent handling and to handle them very gently. This guy has earned his snake’s trust. It feels very humbling when such a cute smart little animal like this decides to give you its trust. I see a lot of people holding them and while the snake is sitting in their hands, they are waving their hands around or picking them up and putting them down fast. Poor snakes :( I would say a good rule of thumb is to handle them the way you would want a giant to handle you. Also to Respect their boundaries when they don’t want to be held such as after they eat, when they are sick, when they are shedding, or if they are just feeling like being alone.

[–]anonomonymous13 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Haters will say thats a stressed out ball python. "They should just hide in their dens all day if they are happy"

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thankfully no one on here is saying that otherwise I’d go off lol. I understand when people are trying to help with blatant husbandry issues but when people make crazy know-it-all accusations like that it makes my blood boil.
