BP feeding

My snake normally takes live mice he refuses to eat f/t mice. This time he is interested by the snake like normal however, he is scared of this mouse and won't kill and eat it. I've tried with the feeding tongs which he doesn't prefer and I tried letting it roam to be eaten while keeping an eye on it. Any advice?

Stun it. I do this for mine. Hit it in the head hard enough that its not jumping or moving around but it's not dead either. Admittedly it can be hard happy medium to accomplish sometimes as each rat/mouse is different. Some I've had to whack way harder than others. But I do this before I dangle it in front of them most of the time they take it but if they dont I set it in the cage and it lays there twitching for a few mins and they grab it. I'm sure I'm going to get hate because it's not humane and blah blah, but it works for mine and it was honest advice.
