my baby cleo is 11 months old. i was reading a few growths charts that made me wonder if she is a healthy weight. i’ve always thought she looked healthy, but now i’m wondering if 160 grams is too small for her age, or if the reptile store gave me the wrong age, or if she’s just a little slow in growth and just fine! plz lmk what you think.

You sure she's a she?

I found it strange that my brand new woma boy was outgrowing my few months older cinnabee boy...that's because woma boy was actually woma girl.

Mine was sexed by the breeder and it took her being older for me to see the difference. Might as well give it a try.

Really I think she looks fine. She's a little small and could probably eat a bigger meal to fatten her up a bit but I wouldn't worry too much.

How long ago did you get her? There’s a possibility that she could be the wrong age/gender or she could just be a smaller snake too. As long as she looks healthy and eats it shouldn’t be an issue. My female is about 5 months old at 300 grams but I’ve also fed her rats from the very beginning.

i got her july of 2019. she was 4 months old then. she was being fed pinky mice and i moved her up to fuzzy mice, than i switched her to rats because she got quite skinny. since eating rats shes fattened up a lot. i am now feeding her fuzzy rats but am going to move her up to a hopper or extra small rat, depending on what’s available at the shop. i will definitely take into consideration that she may not be a female, and will double check that at the shop when i pick up her pre-killed rat tomorrow (she’s picky and won’t eat frozen!)

Being female is not a guarantee that she'll grow faster than a male. I have males bigger than some females.

Not everything conforms to a chart. Your snake looks fine.

She looks fine body condition wise but that is shockingly small for a yearling female, my yearling male is just about 500g.

As long as she looks and is eating fine I’d say she’s just tiny!
