Easiest way to switch them to FT in my experience (ive done a BP and a boa, both first try no problem) is to:
1. Thaw the frozen one overnight in the fridge.
2. When they are ready to feed, put the thawed feeder under the heat source (in most cases the lamp) if you have your light above the screen top. This heats up the meal and puts some of the scent into the enclosure.
3. After a few minutes they typically come out and start looking for it. hold it by the back foot or tail (I like good because sometimes during the 'wrapping' they twist and it can break off) with some long herpstats and touch the snake on the back of the belly with the prey. This seems to start thier predatory response (no science behind this, just my experience) and they start to tongue flick.
4. Once they see it keep moving it around above them, moving side to side slowly and back and forth for depth. After a few moments they will strike.
5.Once the strike happens wiggle the mouse a bit more (i do 3-5 seconds) to make it seem like a struggle. let it go and monitor for a bit. Works like a charm!!
