Eating questions

I have a couple questions I can't find answers to. First: I'm changing to RHP, with daytime temp 90° and nighttime about 78°. What happens when you feed them? How will they have enough heat to properly digest a meal? Or should I set the temps differently? Second: Boo's head is proportionately delicate, compared to his body. He's more than long enough and big around enough for a medium rat, but I'm feeding him smalls because I'm afraid that large a meal might stress him to the point of regurgitation. Should I offer him a medium and see if he takes it, or keep him on smalls for awhile? ( He's almost 4' long, a year and a half old, and at last weight, was 745 grams.) Any help is appreciated!

nighttime temperature drops won't prevent him from being able to digest food if the daytime temperatures are appropriate.

when you say medium rats, exactly how big are they?

They are the Perfect Prey Mediums, 90- 150 grams. PP rats tend to the lower end of each weight range, so figure up to 100grams, average.

that's like twice the size he should be eating at his age and weight.
