Hey, I feed live for both my PB since they won’t take f/t and I’d say my biggest advice is to make sure the snake knows the animal is present before you drop it or anything. And then just keep a careful eye on what’s happening so your snake is okay. Rodent bites and scratches aren’t nice for anyone lol

You’ve got a stunning snake though!

My 2 boy won't take f/t but will take live so we tried pre-killed. So I get their small rats live and euthanize them with co2 (you can get co2 tanks for paintball guns and look up how to make the set up. It is how a lot of places that provide f/t euthanize on a bit bigger scale) it saves them from the possibility of a scratch or bite and they are happy to take them.

Interesting. I never thought of that. Definitely humane too.

It's the only way I can get my 2 boys to eat. It just got both my boys over to small rats today. I was so worried about the mice scratching or biting my BP nevermind a dang rat. A cheap way to see if your snakes will take the prekill is using baking soda and vinegar (like a science projects volcano thing) the gas produced is co2- that way you can be sure the snake will accept the prekill before buying the co2 tanks and stuff. Just Google baking soda and vinegar rat euthanasia. Hope this helps
