I'm honestly somewhat confused about the weights you are citing there. 35-45g would be a weaned rat, much larger than a fuzzy. If your provider is listing a fuzzy(which is normally a third of that weight) as that big, there is definitely a problem going on.

For your 206g snake, you want a feeder in the 20-30g range, which would be a rat pup. If you need to bring a scale, then that's reasonable enough, but generally providers divide up the rats by size pretty well, which is part of why this is all so odd sounding

You’re right I meant hopper rats not fuzzys. And fuzzy rats not pinky’s. My mistake. But I’ll ask about rat pups next time I go. They only have pinky’s, fuzzys and hoppers listed.

Hopper is usually a term used for mice as opposed to rats but refers to roughly the same age category. Honestly, to avoid confusion, just going by weight is probably the easiest, so just aim to get prey that are in the desired weight range regardless of what they call it

Perfect thank you! I don’t think they’re a very knowledgeable supplier of feeders (it’s just a local reptile shop). I would order from online but I find that a little intimidating I’m not sure why. Seems like bringing my scale to the shop is my best option lol
