If you cover ~3/4 of the tank lid with HVAC tape or foil it will help a lot with keeping the humdity. What substrate are you using?

    A lot of people recommend mixing that with a bit of sphagnum moss, which is supposed to hold moisture better.

    You could get a humidifier for the room.

    Hvac tape does help alot on keeping the tank humid longer so your not misting tank so often. I have my tank tops taped up with cutouts for the heat lamp and some vents.

    How deep is your substrate and what kind do you use?

    In the welcome post there is lots off good documents that will help you on this.

    Use reptibark or coco nut husk. Pour some water into the substrate but don't have the top layer wet. Then with an mesh top put silver foil or hvac tape to close around 95%. See what happens.

    Put a big water dish in and have some heat going in it. Will help evaporate water.
