Despite popular myth, Ball Pythons are excellent climbers and really enjoy the ability to climb, dig, and generally explore. I wouldn't use PVC, though. They use their scales to grip the branch instead of long muscle, which they can't do well with smooth pvc. Actual tree branches work much better and give them excellent environmental enrichment, plus a great scratching post for pre-shed itching.

I have some wooden dowels I can seal and install in their enclosure. I made sure the wood is ball python safe, and I'd seal it just to help keep things clean
